I am really excited about this post! Why? Because I am talking about jeans AND I also get to talk about my favorite jeans and why you can wear them too! You have seen my favorite jeans (or a form of them) on repeat several times on my Instagram because I LOVE THEM and they make me feel great! Every woman needs a great pair of jeans that makes them feel amazing! You know what else is awesome, it’s FRIDAY so you can go shopping this weekend! If you are still wearing your maternity jeans because they are comfy (I get it, I did that too) or your post-baby jeans that are getting a little baggy, it is time for you to retire them and buy some jeans that fit and make you feel beautiful! Grab a friend and follow these 3 Tips! There are three things that you need to look for in your new jeans to keep them flattering and fun. Are you ready?
OWN YOUR STYLE
Okay, skinny jeans are definitely popular and I LOVE them! It’s pretty much all I wear! Honestly, I think skinny jeans look great on everyone but if you don’t feel good in them then stick to a cut that you do love. Boot Cut and Flare (wide leg) are definitely coming back in a big way so it’s really not all about the Skinny Jeans anymore. Another really popular style is the boyfriend cut, they are a more relaxed style and they are easy to dress up or down.
Also consider color, if you only feel amazing in black jeans, stick to black. If you feel fancier when wearing a trendy washed jean then look at those! My point is, you can follow my next two tips but, don’t change up your own style unless you are really going for something different but, I will say that it’s a good idea to at least TRY a style and see what you think. Maybe you’ll have a new style! Either way, your goal is to look good and feel great! I know you will be doubting yourself so that’s why you have your friend!
Oh and for your petite (or short) women, rolling your ankles up is fine and definitely in so no worries there.
NOT YOUR DAUGHTERS RISE
Transitioning from low-rise jeans was tough for me. I don’t know why because they were not flattering at all! My love handles hung out, my panties hung out, they were never comfortable and once I had kids, NO WAY! I was constantly bending over and self-conscious. The last thing you Mamas need to worry about is who can see those panties! Mid rise and high rise jeans take care of ALL OF THAT! I KNOW! They really are amazing and hopefully here to stay!
Now how do you know if you are mid rise or high rise?
I can’t make this decision for you but, I can help. I want you to feel confident so try on both but if you have a shorter torso (like me), you will probably like mid-rise better (I feel like it comes up higher on me that say my long torso sister) and if you have a longer torso (I might be a little jealous), try the high rise. Also, the top of the jeans should be hitting right about your belly button or a bit higher. So long muffin top, adios love handles, good stuff here!
BUY THE SMALLER SIZE
Yep, do it! I know you will ask your stylish friend or the helpful dressing room clerk if I’m right and believe me, I am! I am not saying to necessarily buy a size smaller. What I am saying is that you want your jeans to fit snug. They should feel like they are holding everything in. They will loosen up, I promise! Any jean that has fit me “comfortably” at the store that I have bought I later exchanged for a smaller size. On the note of sizes, don’t worry about the number, sizes vary by store. Remember, we want them to look good and feel good. It is SO important that you wear clothing that fits and flatters you the size is just a number.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO SPEND A LITTLE MORE
I am quickly realizing that there are just some clothing items that are worth the extra money. Jeans are one of these items. Many of us wear our jeans ALL the time or at least on weekends right!? You want a great pair that gives you confidence. Jeans last a long time so really, it will be money well spent!
TRIBUTE TO MY FAVORITE JEANS (check out that hem)
The only reason I am adding this tip is because MY favorite jeans (which did I even say are Express Skinny Jeans) all have super fun raw ankle hems. It’s a somewhat trendy look (also check out my favorite spring trends) but, source say it’s not really going anywhere and in fact, it’s kinda getting tough to find jeans without it.
I know, I know many of you are thinking that they are not for you BUT, I disagree. Let me tell you why.
WHY YOU CAN WEAR THEM RAW HEM JEANS
First of all, this is not an age thing. So stop it with that. Just because your daughter is wearing a trend doesn’t mean you can’t. You may just wear it differently. What I love about raw hem jeans is that they are your favorite jeans with a little added interest. No matter what cut or style you wear, there is a raw hem pair that is equally as cute and a little more stylish. I am a Busy Mom so I wear jeans ALL THE TIME! I do have 1 pair of basic blue jeans but, they are kinda boring (wah wah). Spice it up a bit and look at some of the styles I have added below. Notice, I am taking several different raw hem cuts and giving you options that may work for you.
So, are you going shopping this weekend? I want to hear ALL ABOUT IT! PIN this so that you have all of your tips handy and HAVE FUN! Oh and why you are out, shop for these spring trends too, lot’s of great stuff out there!

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the internet the
easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed
while people think about worries that they just don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect ,
people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more.
Thanks
