So I don’t mean to be sassy (well maybe I do, a little) but what are you waiting for? Here lately I have been popping over to your blogs and checking them out and you know what….they are amazing! You are doing awesome and I am loving them, but why are you being so selfish and not sharing it?
I know, I know that you are sharing that beautiful blog. You are actually sharing it a lot right! Maybe you are even spending hours a day posting to groups on facebook and then reciprocating the comments and shares and you know what, that is great! I do that too and have met so many awesome and supportive bloggers that way. Heck, I may have even met you that way (yay)!
Or maybe you are hot on Twitter and tweeting all your posts to your followers which is also great! You definitely need to be doing that, even if it’s all that you are doing on Twitter. It is a great way to get yourself out there and grow your audience! I am on Twitter as well and although I am not very active (yet), I am still sharing my posts and getting reshares on there which is awesome and definitely building my audience!
Or, if you are like me…Instagram is your favorite! Honestly, I don’t know that it is the best for my blog traffic. It has definitely helped me build an audience but they kinda just stay there, on Instagram! I am at almost 1,700 since I started my new profile 4 months ago which isn’t too shabby, it has earned me a couple cool collabs and I’ve met more great people which I love (if one of them is you, THANKS!!!), but it’s not really driving traffic to my blog.
You know what is…..YEP, PINTEREST! So many of you have told me that you are not sharing on Pinterest! Why not?
Why is it important to drive traffic to your blog? Well, more than likely you are either trying to make money with your blog and/or business, you are trying to build a brand or you are are writing to an audience. With all of these, the more traffic you get, the more money you will earn and the larger your audience will grow. And although it’s important to know that blogging takes patience, you still want to grow as quickly as you can! People aren’t going to just find you on their own, you need to put yourself out there and you should, your blog is great but your readers just can’t find you!
For me (and really, any blogger and/or business owner I know sharing on Pinterest), Pinterest is my #1 Source of Blog Traffic! By a LANDSLIDE! NOTHING comes close! Like you, I kept hearing about how great it was for growth and so I opened a new business account (definitely do a business account)and jumped in! I am so glad I did!
In only three months, I have grown to 310K Monthly Viewers! Look at my highest day below….. 38,776 people were seeing my pins on this day! This was pretty crazy for me as a new blogger and on that day I had 1,100 pageviews and 95% of them were from Pinterest! 95%!!!
So, I’ll ask you again……What are you waiting for?
Are you thinking that it will be super time-consuming? Ya know, it can be but, Tailwind is worth the investment (even in the beginning – doesn’t matter if YOU don’t have many pins)! What used to steal my entire evening (Not even kidding 7pm-10pm every night pinning away) is now knocked out in about an hour a week with some manual pinning here and there. When I joined Tailwind, two of my Pins reached over 900 shares in less than a month and my page views grew from 1,317-8,412 in only one month of automating with Tailwind! Cool right!? Again, Tailwind is something else that you shouldn’t wait on, it’s super user friendly, the analytics are super fun, it has a ton to offer and it has skyrocketed my traffic! You can also schedule your Instagram on Tailwind which is another huge time saver and allows you to plan things out better and keep that Instagram Cohesiveness.
Maybe you are thinking that you aren’t sure what you are doing, you are feeling unsure and lacking confidence right!? Guess what, we were all there and still are but you just need to go for it! The comfort and confidence will come!
If you need a little boost, a Pinterest Course could help! They definitely helped me and at less than $20, they are perfect for new bloggers! Here are the two I took about a month into Pinterest and both were FANTASTIC! I was following both of these awesome Bloggers prior to even starting my own blog so I knew that I would love everything they had to say!
Elna Cain (twinsmommy.com) has a great Pinterest For Perfection Master Class. It is a Video Tutorial with so much great information to get you started on Pinterest! She is a great teacher and very thorough, it also comes with a Pin Promote Planner and it’s only $19! I loved Elna’s Pinterest course so much that I also purchased her Ready, Set, Blog For Traffic Course as well! In this course, she talks about getting THE RIGHT Traffic! Ding, Ding, Ding, IMPORTANT but one step at a time!
The other course I took was from Lauren Duclos (ellduclos.blog). The Course is Learn How To Be Your Own Damn Boss! I loved that I could take her course at my own pace and it was also jam-packed with great info that I could reference as I was trying to figure things out! The course isn’t just Pinterest tips, she also talks general traffic tips and touches on affiliate marketing! This class is only $15!
So tell me, have I convinced you yet? Are you going to start sharing your lovely blog on Pinterest? Let me know and if you do, here are some tips for Group Boards which are a MUST! Maybe you already are but needed a little motivation and some affordable courses to give you that bump in confidence? Hopefully, this helped! And if you haven’t even launched your blog yet, that is okay but don’t wait too long! Here are some great tips to help with your blog launch! I know I have added a lot to this so make sure you PIN IT for when you have a bit more time!
